Origin & story
Sapphire shares its mineral identity with ruby: it is corundum in every colour except red. Iron and titanium produce the classic blues; other trace elements yield a full spectrum of fancy colours.
Madagascar, Tanzania, and Ethiopia are notable African sources. Each sapphire we handle is assessed for hue, tone, saturation, and any evidence of treatment before it reaches the market.
