What this stage involves
Faceting
Crown and pavilion facets are cut at angles matched to the material's optics, with symmetry and meet-points checked throughout.
Polishing
Each facet is polished to a flawless surface so that light enters and exits cleanly without scatter.
Proportion & finish
Windowing, extinction, and light leakage are controlled by balancing depth, angles, and girdle thickness.
Final examination
The finished stone is cleaned and inspected under magnification for polish, symmetry, and overall performance.
Outcome
A finished gemstone whose cut quality allows it to compete on international markets.
